For the Delta !

Calling all Delta’s!! oo-oop, oo-oop, oo-oop !!

In my first post on the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority I reported that one of my co-workers was a Delta, well many many more have surfaced since then, they even showed their dedication at a work function when coincidentally everyone had to wear Red & White.

Rock on Ladies !!!

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority was founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University. These students wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence and to provide assistance to persons in need. The first public act performed by the Delta Founders involved their participation in the Women’s Suffrage March in Washington D.C., March 1913. Delta Sigma Theta was incorporated in 1930. More Information.

Calling all Delta’s!! oo-oop, oo-oop, oo-oop !!

So one of my co-workers is a Delta and she represents it well. (Delta Sigma Theta Sorority was founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University. These students wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence and to provide assistance to persons in need.) She is one our trainers and is one of the best leaders and motivators in our training department, I couldn’t say enough about her.  She helped us start our Toastmasters Charter at my job. She is getting married in the next several months and I found the perfect gift for her to give her guests. “Lucky Elephant” Antique Ivory-Finish Tea Light Holder.

Many Deltas collect elephants because one of our founding sorors loved to do just that. When she passed away her collection of elephants was donated to the Grand Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where they are on display in our archives. Today most Deltas collect elephants in her honor.”
